Archive for 'The Proposals'
I have been wanting to do a “session” like this since I first heard about them. It’s such a neat concept to be at and photograph a proposal and it was an honor to be at this one! I’ve known Brad since we were in high school. He and I have stayed close over the years and I couldn’t be happier for him and Meg! They are a wonderful match and we cannot wait to photograph their wedding next year!!!
Brad, being the awesome guy that he is, planned a great proposal! He started with a limo (and a fake story as to why they had the limo), and took her to Sully’s downtown where he proposed and took her inside for a surprise party with friends and family! We do wish that he wouldn’t have proposed inside the limo while we waited on the opposite block… Haha!
Just kidding, Brad!
Not only was the proposal great, but the ring was wonderful, too. Meg’s ring belonged to Brad’s mom who passed away back in 2005. I stayed on the sidelines during the party, but I’ll make sure to include a picture in their next post. It’s a beautiful ring. Having known and loved Cindi myself, it made me so happy to see it on Meg’s finger. Meg has the same warm and contagious smile that Cindi did… It’s so amazing to see love radiate from someone the way it does from Meg… the way it did from Cindi.
The party was fabulous, but the highlight of the night was going outside for some snowy shots. I LOVE the pictures that we got outside of Sully’s the best. They look like stills from a movie or something. There’s a quote from Ansel Adams that kept popping into my head during the less than two minutes (literally) that we were outside. “Sometimes I do get to places just when God’s ready to have somebody click the shutter.” That’s exactly how we felt…
Brad and Meg :: This was so much fun and I can’t wait to spend more time with you guys. Camera optional.
Love to you both!

For me, this shot sums up the first 24-48 hours after getting engaged for the bride-to-be… There’s lots of showing the ring and looking like this. I love it.

Meg, you are so beautiful!

Love it.

I love this picture. I love Brad hugging Meg. I love Meg’s mom laughing in the background… I just love it.

My favorite of the night… Wow.
