Toby and I love movies just about as much as we love photographs. So far that’s been limited to our personal life – I spend a LOT of time documenting our children growing up and while I love taking photos of them more than I can even articulate, there’s just something about watching one of our kids’ faces light up with a smile that melts my heart. For a long time, video was a little scary for me when it came to doing anything other than playing with it, but luckily this is yet another area where Toby and I compliment each other. Toby has been shooting over the last year or so with a good friend of ours and he’s helped Toby develop having a knack for video into being able to really shoot it. (Check out Dan’s work – he’s amazing!!) Anyway, Toby’s become pretty good at shooting video clips throughout the day and I’ve always had a desire to learn – I told myself that if nothing else, I’d be able to use our cameras to take better video clips of our kids. The more we practiced, the more we enjoyed it. Toby likes the technical side and for me, video editing is like stringing pearls together with the perfect song – timing the clips to the music in just the right places… Plus I enjoy integrating it while I’m taking pictures more than I anticipated.

So based on all that, we’re happy to say that a Moving Picture add-on is something we have in the works. We want to be sure to clarify that what we’re doing is NOT wedding videography. If you want a full wedding video or any audio, we know some GREAT videographers that we’d be happy to recommend! What we’re hoping to do is add a little more depth to what we offer for the couples who want it. Photography is still our focus and if we ever feel like taking a video clip will hinder our ability to document a moment with photographs, the video will have to wait. More than anything, we just think that having little bits of your laughter, emotion, preparation, etc. in motion to look back on is something special. Whether that means a full wedding video with one of the videographers in our area or something on a smaller scale from us – it’s great to have some of those moments in motion captured.

Now that I’ve said all that, I want to share our Moving Picture from Christine and Michael’s wedding this Saturday. It was our first ever wedding where we integrated video into our day and Toby and I are pretty excited about how it turned out!! Enjoy!

Thanks so much for all the feedback about the video I made of the kids! I love doing things like that and it’s so nice to hear that you enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed making it! :)

Thanks!
Annie

And just for fun, here’s a couple shots of our sweet girl as a bride from the other day!

Toby and I cannot express how grateful we were to meet so many wonderful couples this past weekend at Bridalrama. Thanks to each and every one of you who stopped by our booth!! We were so overwhelmed by how many entries there were for our wedding contest that we decided to choose one 2012 winner and one 2013 winner. So… are you ready to find out if you won? :) Here are our awesome kids to help deliver the news!

Congratulations, guys!! We’re excited to work with you! :) For all those whom my lovely daughter didn’t pick, don’t forget that we’ll be giving away an engagement session and guestbook on March 6th so be on the lookout for an email notifying the winner!

And just for fun, we thought we’d share some shots of our booth! My favorite part was chalking the logo by hand – super tedious, but completely worth it! :) Thanks again to everyone we met this weekend!
