I’m doubling up on my Living with Hope site, but I figured I could use all the prayers I could get!
I got some good news this Monday when I went in for my chemo treatment… I was told that according to the most recent studies, the standard of care for Hodgkin’s cases like mine is moving toward less chemo and radiation with the same results. Based on those studies and extensive research, I was told on Monday that my chemo treatments are over. Needless to say, I was ecstatic! I set up my appointment with my radiologist and was on my way!
After talking to my radiologist today, things have changed a bit, but I’m still extremely hopeful. Apparently lessening my chemo regimen is dependent on clear CT and PET scans which I’ll have this week. (I had the CT Scan today and will have the PET Scan tomorrow morning.) There’s a good chance that it could go either way, so I can use all of the prayers that people can send!
If the scans shows remaining cancer, it’s likely that I’ll have two more months of chemo. If not, I’ll be starting radiation after I have a different type of scan specifically for planning. I’m hoping to have the results back early next week.
To be finished with chemo would be more of a blessing than I can even express. All I can do until I know whether that’s a reality or not is pray and ask for your prayers. I really can feel the power of the prayers and kindness that I’ve been blessed enough to receive already and I am so amazingly grateful. I’m convinced that our continued prayers can make a difference…

Just because I don’t like posts without pictures, here’s some recent ones of the kids. It’s been nice to have the energy to really interact with them this week!
