Rachel and Mark’s wedding was the first of our handful of weddings this year that have taken place on college campuses. It was a wonderfully personal experience that made us even more excited to shoot the others. They were married in the chapel of Chatfield College, a small college in Fayetteville, OH. From beginning to end, the day was so full of happiness coming not only from Rachel and Mark, but the (fantastic) wedding party, both families, and all of their friends. It just seemed clear to everyone that Rachel and Mark were meant for each other.

Last, but not least, I love, love, love this ring shot. The green apple is from one of their centerpieces and it adds just the right touch of color!

I love fall. I love the colors, the smells, the crisp feel of the air… I love that it makes me want to snuggle up on the couch with my kids or a good book. I love that this year it will mean jumping in piles of leaves with Emma and Noah, singing songs about pumpkins and turkeys, and their first real cups of hot chocolate.

I can’t say enough about fall. Over the years it’s become my favorite season…

That said, it’s been a great summer. This was a year of swimming pools and puddles – watching our kids play together and grow faster than we thought possible. It’s also been a privilege to be a part of the weddings we’ve shot these warm summer months. Thanks to all the couples who have shared their special days with us so far this year!

All of this was going through my mind yesterday and I thought I’d share a couple of shots from my last “summer walk” with the kids. We stopped to see some flowers and I snapped a couple of pictures.

I’m so ready to enjoy fall… Summer will be back before we know it!

I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful horse recently which included the kids’ first trip to a barn! They LOVED it and I’m hoping we’ll be back soon! I’ll be catching up on blog posts soon, but here’s a couple from that trip… I couldn’t resist.
