I know I just posted some pictures of the kids, but I had to share some more in honor of the first time that Noah slept through the night!!! He was out for a full 8 hours! Wow!!! I was so worried that he wouldn’t be a good sleeper! After Emma started sleeping for 6+ hours at night when she was about a week old, I didn’t think I could be so blessed twice!

So… In honor of my amazing son, here are some pictures of the kids! = )

Noah is now cooing and smiling on purpose! I’ve captured lots, but this is my favorite so far!

My gorgeous girl… We are seriously in trouble when she gets older!

Toby and I are both nerds. We admit it. And we’re ok with that! = ) The way that Emma absolutely loves her books makes us wonder if she’s on the same path!!! Haha!

How so much personality fits into such a tiny person never ceases to amaze me. = )

Neither Toby nor I like self portraits… or being in family portraits… or portraits of any kind. It may sound silly coming from two people as passionate about photography as we are. We can’t help it. Quite frankly, we’d much rather be behind the camera. Turn the lens towards us and things get uncomfortable.

For months I have admired those photographers out there that take self portraits, those who have portraits of themselves done, and especially those that feature them on their website or blog. I always think to myself, “Wow! What a great way for their clients to feel a little more connected to their photographer/s before they actually meet! Too bad for our clients… There’s no way I’m doing that!!!” The more that I’ve kept up with the blogs of the brave (and beautiful) souls that constantly feature their own smiling faces as a staple of their site, the more I’ve wanted to put myself out there… I’ve also wanted, of course, to drag Toby along in the process.

So today, for the first time in a very, very long time, I turned the camera on myself. Then I turned it on my husband. = ) Good news! We both lived to tell the tale! Haha!!!

Here is the result! It will stay up here, but I had to share the story behind this simple cluster of nine photographs. A special thanks goes out to bobbi+mike for giving me the guts! Hopefully someday I’ll be up for posting the candid shots of us during our sessions! For now, I’m just celebrating this baby step!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted some pictures of the kids! We’ve just been super busy, which is great!!! Emma and Noah have both been growing like weeds and I am loving every minute of it!

Emma’s newest “trick” is throwing things into Noah’s Pack-N-Play and then climbing partially up the side to see inside. It’s a good thing she figured that out while Noah wasn’t in there! She’s also learned how to say “shhh” and “love you”. It is SO sweet!

Noah seems stronger every day! He’s getting so big!!! He’s doing great with holding his head up, but his newest development is his blue eyes!!! I know it’s only been three weeks, but it feels like he’s been here so much longer (in a good way)! = )

Here are some recent shots of the kids!
