It’s been a busy week… already… and it’s only Tuesday.
Lots going on… I have three posts coming soon!!! Two portrait sessions and a post of Emma!
Stay tuned!!!
In the meantime, here’s a shot that I got this evening while taking the time to appreciate the little things… I absolutely love these flowers!!!

I’m always looking for that perfect shot. It’s a blessing and a curse. My family teases me about how my children will be blind from all of the camera flashes. I remain undeterred.

It’s days like today that makes me happy that I am as crazy… no not crazy… enthusiastic as I am!
Toby put Noah in Emma’s arms and for the first time in a couple days, she didn’t try to shove him off of her lap. I had about a minute to literally run across the family room and into the kitchen, grab the camera, make it back to the playroom, and get a couple of shots. I barely had time to compose the shot before clicking the shutter less than a dozen times. By the time I had captured 11 images, Emma had had enough. Kids…
In spite of Emma’s distaste for holding her little brother, the poor lighting, and the “jog” across the first floor, I GOT MY SHOT!!! I am so excited and just had to share.
That’s right. Being a perfect-shot-seeker pays off.

Today was the first time in a while that Emma cried when Noah cried… Call me crazy, but I actually miss it a little bit! It’s just so cute!

They’re both looking at the camera!!!

Emma’s hair is driving me nuts! If only she didn’t pull everything I try to tame it with out of her hair and try to eat it…

Toby and I shot our first wedding since Noah’s birth on July 19th and we had a blast!!! We did Melia and Shane’s engagement session just under a month ago, so they may look familiar!
Both the wedding and reception were at the Fairfield Community Arts Center, an absolutely gorgeous venue! Melia and Shane had the gallery filled with photographs of them together for the guests to view between the ceremony and reception. It was such a personal touch!
The wedding proved to be very interesting! Poor Melia got sick during the ceremony!!! Shane was there by her side taking care of her, which was so sweet. And it certainly gave new meaning to “in sickness and in health”! Melia handled it fantastically! She laughed it off and kept a smile on her face despite not feeling well.
We were so blessed to be a part of their special day! Both of their families were wonderful to work with! They were incredibly flexible about us bringing Noah (and my sister to help with him) since he’s just over 2 weeks old and hasn’t started bottle-feeding yet. Not only were they flexible, but they were amazingly kind about it! Melia’s mom brought me a gift bag with some presents in it for us and Melia’s dad came out and held Noah for a while so that we could all eat dinner. What wonderful people!!!
Melia & Shane :: We can’t tell you how much we enjoyed your wedding! When I first got an email from you, Melia, you wrote “I’m pretty sure it was fate” under “how you found us”… We agree! You are both so fantastic as are your families and friends! Enjoy Jamaica!!! We’ll talk to you when you get back and we’re looking forward to your post-wedding session!

Melia’s dress was gorgeous!!!

This is right after Melia got sick… She handled herself fabulously!!!

“… in sickness and in health…”

Their first kiss as husband and wife…

The sun was beautiful!!!

One of my favorites…

One of my favorites… Shane came up behind her and I caught this.

Meet the Peeks!!!

I LOVE this one, especially after I processed it… So romantic!

Shane wanted to replicate the surprised shot from their engagement session! = )

Coming into the reception…

Their first dance…

Melia went to toss the bouquet and thought she was going to lose her dress!!!

Toby caught this right before Shane took off Melia’s garter. One of our favorites of the day! Hilarious!!!

Toby took the guys into the pitch black theater and got these…

We did some of our group shots out on the balcony. We asked for silly faces and got the following shots!

On our way to our van after the reception, I noticed this and had to get out the camera!

Here’s the picture of Melia’s dad holding Noah. = )
