These guys were some of the most fun people I have ever photographed! Toby and I had such a great time last night! = ) They laughed A LOT, which made for some amazing pictures! Their wedding is this July, so look for more from them soon!
The diptych below is made from my favorite photos of the session! Melia and Shane were sitting on the bench talking about Shane’s goal for the day: just one good photograph with a “serious” pose. Let’s just say that Melia was not so much for the “serious” pose… Mostly, it just resulted in them laughing even more! (There’s an example of Melia’s “serious” face later on in the post…) So they were discussing the “serious” pose and were trying to look “seriously” at Melia’s engagement ring. Melia’s face began to crack and she said something along the lines of, “This is so corny! I might as well be doing this!” And then she made this face:

Needless to say, Toby and I were all over that! We both got one of the shots above.
Melia and Shane were a joy to shoot – “corny” poses, “serious” faces, and all!
We were also blessed with amazing weather!!! The sun and the sky were absolutely gorgeous and the silhouette pictures of them like the one below are some of my favorites that Toby and I have ever taken!
Melia and Shane :: Thanks for a fabulous evening! I can’t remember the last time that I laughed so much at a shoot! = )

This is the closest we got to a true “serious” photo, with the exception of the silhouettes… I love it!!!

I love that Melia “popped” her foot… = )

This was Melia’s “serious” face… = )

Emma and I have been going to the pool with my family a lot this week! With Noah coming soon, I’m not sure how many more times I’ll get to go this summer! Since Emma loves the pool, I figure we should take advantage of it while we can! I just wanted to share a few pictures from this week!

Most of the time when I take skyline photos at night, it’s kind of random. I’ll (somehow) find a night when I have some free time, and I’ll grab my gear and go. This time was different. I decided to seek out a night when the Reds were playing a night game, and I intentionally went before the sky went completely dark. I think it turned out okay…
